Ben J. McKenzie (B.Sc. in Geology, North Carolina State University,
MGIS, University of Calgary, P.Geol.) is President of Tarheel Exploration and Services Ltd., which provides mapping and database management services to the petroleum industry. Ben’s 32 years as a geologist have been spent mainly on regional mapping and resource assessment.

Don L. Kissling (MS in Geology, University of Wisconsin; PhD in Geology, Indiana University) is Owner/Geologist of Jackalope Geological Ltd. which has provided reservoir evaluations to the oil industry for over 20 years. Previously, he was Exploration Geologist for Superior Oil, Consultant to Consolidated Natural Gas, and Manager of Carbonate Reservoir Studies at Robertson Research (US) and Erco Petroleum Services. Don was also Associate Professor of Geology at the State University of New York, Binghamton, where he supervised research on modern carbonates in south Florida and the eastern Bahamas. His areas of expertise include the Williston Basin, the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin, the Northern Rockies, the Midcontinent Region, the Appalachian Basin, and West Texas. Don has concentrated on Devonian and Mississippian stratigraphy, facies and reservoir geology during academic and industry careers spanning 50 years. He resides in Berthoud, Colorado, where he is currently preparing for publication a vast database Florida reefs acquired during his tenure as professor, while also exploring the Rockies for the best trout fishing.

James R. Ehrets (BS and MS in Geology, University of Rochester) has been a petroleum geologist and consultant for 25 years, formerly as Reservoir Geologist with Erco Petroleum Services in Houston; as Partner/Geologist with Jackalope Geological Ltd. in Boulder; as Consultant to Marathon Oil Company's Petroleum Technology Center in Denver; as VP Exploration of CamWest L.P. in Denver, and as VP Exploration & Operations of NXT Energy in Calgary. Jim has been involved in numerous reservoir evaluations and exploration/development programs in the Northern Rockies, the Williston and Appalachian basins, the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin, the Gulf Coast region, and West Texas. He is currently based in Longmont, Colorado where he remains active developing oil and gas drilling prospects in the Northern Rockies, and providing consulting services to domestic and international exploration projects.

Mike D. Sherwin (Honours B.Sc. in Geology, University of Manitoba) is President / Chief Geologist of Sherwin Geological, a Calgary-based geological mapping and software development company. Mike is a regional mapping specialist with 25 years experience in both clastic and carbonate settings of western Canada and northern USA. He has worked on numerous multi-client geological studies, as a Senior Geologist with Baytex Energy, and as a Geological Consultant to several other oil and gas companies. Mike’s current focus is on the development of digital geological mapping products for petroleum exploration and exploitation.
